Scauldron
General Overview
The Scauldron is a large dragon belonging to the Tidal Class. Known as one of the most feared sea dragons in the archipelago, it does not breathe fire in the traditional sense, but instead blasts enemies with scalding streams of boiling hot water. Fast, stealthy, and perfectly adapted to ocean life, the Scauldron is a powerful aquatic hunter that becomes especially dangerous when working together with its pod.
Physical Appearance
- Body & Color: It has a gigantic sea-dragon body usually seen in turquoise, green, pale blue, orange, or yellow tones, with colors that help it blend into ocean environments.
- Head & Face: Its head is long and slender, with a thin curved nasal horn, sharp peg-like teeth, forward-facing eyes, and whisker-like tendrils attached to the upper jaw.
- Appendages: It has four stubby but powerful legs with small feet and long claws, giving it a sturdy build both in water and on land.
- Wings & Tail: Its wings are broad enough for flight, though it prefers swimming, while its fish-like tailfin provides propulsion and balance in the water.
Abilities and Combat
- Boiling Water Blast: Instead of fire, it stores water in its flexible lower jaw and stomach, then shoots it as a scalding blast hot enough to strip scales from other dragons.
- Rechargeable Firepower: Because it lives in the sea, it can quickly refill its water supply and restore its shot limit with ease.
- Venomous Bite: Its sharp teeth are venomous, and its venom can also be mixed with its water attack for even more dangerous effects.
- Blue Oleander Immunity: It is uniquely immune to Blue Oleander and its venom is known as the only antidote to the plant's deadly effects on dragons.
- Stealth Hunting: Its ocean-colored body allows it to camouflage in water, where it hunts prey silently and often corners it with other Scauldrons.
- Strength and Tail Whip: It has enough strength to crush objects with its jaws and use its strong, flexible tail to strike enemies with force.
Behavior and Personality
- Intelligence: It is an organized and patient hunter, capable of working strategically with others to trap prey.
- Temperament: Scauldrons are aggressive, territorial, and fearless when they sense danger.
- Behavior: They prefer underwater travel over open flight, surfacing only when needed to search for prey, enemies, or air.
- Social Traits: They live in pods and are far more effective when hunting and fighting together than when alone.
- Diet: Their known diet includes Blue Oleander, crab, fish, and smaller Tidal Class dragons such as the Seashocker and Sliquifier.
