Night Terror
General Overview
The Night Terror is a small dragon belonging to the Stoker Class. Despite its tiny size, it is one of the most unusual and deceptive dragon species, known for living in large colonies and forming flocks that resemble a single larger dragon. Night Terrors are nocturnal, highly stealthy, and depend heavily on teamwork, making them far more dangerous as a group than as individual dragons.
Physical Appearance
- Body & Color: It has a very small, compact body with dark coloration that helps it blend into the night, while the Alpha often has lighter markings.
- Head & Face: Its head features a double nasal horn, a horn beneath the chin, and sharp, alert features suited for a nocturnal lifestyle.
- Appendages: It has short limbs and a lightweight build that allow quick movement, tight coordination, and easy flock maneuvering.
- Wings & Tail: Its wings are small but agile, and its short, rounded tail is lined with several thin spikes that help define its silhouette.
Abilities and Combat
- Flock Formation: Night Terrors can gather into a coordinated flock that mimics the shape of a much larger dragon, intimidating predators and enemies.
- Combined Firepower: A single Night Terror produces only a small blast of fire, but when many fire together, their streams merge into one massive fireball.
- Night Vision: As nocturnal dragons, they possess excellent vision in darkness and can move effectively at night.
- Camouflage: Their dark coloration and stealth make them difficult to detect, especially in nighttime conditions.
- Speed & Agility: They are quick, agile, and highly maneuverable, especially when moving as a coordinated group.
- Alpha Coordination: An Alpha Night Terror can organize the flock into a far more effective and intimidating formation.
Behavior and Personality
- Intelligence: They are clever and highly cooperative, capable of working together to create complex shapes and defensive formations.
- Temperament: Night Terrors are playful, slightly dog-like, and usually more nervous than openly aggressive when alone.
- Behavior: They live as colonies, show strong respect for their Alpha, and function best when acting together as a team.
- Weakness: A single Night Terror is relatively weak on its own and becomes far less effective without the guidance of its Alpha.
- Diet: Their diet is not emphasized as much as their colony behavior, but they live and hunt as small nocturnal Stoker dragons.
